Which computer is better for games?

Well, I've been looking for a new gaming computer for a while now, since the one i have is too old to upgrade any more.

I was wondering which of these computers would be best for 30+ FPS on medium-high settings, I'm sick of 8 fps on the lowest settings in 1v1 matches. :(

Well, first of all we have an alienware laptop, apparently build for gaming. (It has windows 7 installed, which is sorta fail).

The screen i have now is about the same size, give or take a few inches. I was thinking of a laptop because i hate missing clan matches when the power goes out. I would also like to game when me and my family go on long trips (16 hours +).

I haven't really found anything else right now, but I'm looking for a cheap (-$1500) gaming desktop.

If i could get a better desktop than laptop, I'd gladly buy one. I just haven't found any good desktops for sale in Australia right now.

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any responses.

More about which computer games
  1. OK,first I wouldn't buy a laptop for gaming.Second, instead of trying to find a pre made pc ask for custom builds and I or somebody else more experienced than me will make you some which will kill premade ones. With that being said give me a link of a website that has a build your own feature or just buy this http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/desktops/alienware-aurora/pd.aspx?refid=alienware-aurora&s=dhs&cs=19&~ck=mn.It isn't as good as than a purely custom pc but it is similar.
  2. That computer was a bit expensive for me ($2400 AUD!).

I decided to look arround on del.com.au and found this: http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=au&cs=aubsd1&kc=&l=en&oc=T220111AU&s=bsd&vw=builder

What do you think of that one?
  3. How is windows 7 fail? Its the best OS for gaming you know...
  4. You should better ask somebody from australia for better results.Avoid that dell. It's graphics card is sh$%^t.
  5. you should build your own computer. You should buy these parts http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/ShoppingCart.aspx?submit=ChangeItem
You should find a website in astralia that carries these parts at a good price...hope that helps you get started..
