I have a KT400 soyo dragon ultra and the highest cpu it will run is a amd 3000+ 333fsb. Well I replaced my amd 2200+ with a 3000+ and it recognizes it as a 1733mhz cpu!
I must mention I am using pc2700 memory. When I contacted Soyo I was told that I had to run pc3200 in order for the faster cpu to be recognized because he says the ram fsb must be eqaul to or higher than the cpu fsb, well the pc2700 is running at 333fsb but when I set the cpu fsb to 333 it will not boot!...can someone please explain to this idiot if it is true that I must have pc3200 in order for this board to run the cpu at 333fsb. This all does not make sense to me as the ram is already running at 333fsb!
As always thank you for all your help.

yes I had done that already. well after some research I found some people have same sort of problems, so I manualy set the cpu bus to 166 (333) and the mutiplier at 13 and after 3 failed boots it is recognizing it as the 3000+ and so far running fine. I will let you all know if there are any more probs but this semms to have worked.**crosses fingers and knocks on wooden head**...lol
Thanks again all for all the help I have received over the years!
