OK Here goes. I just upgraded my MB from MSI K7N-Delta to Giga-byte GA-K7N400 Pro-2 Rev 2. No other hardware changes just mother board. Now I am getting an error when I try and play BF1942. The error deals with my CDROM. When I click on icon to play I get "insert correct CDROM and then restart application" Could this be the MB driver problem or something else. I have done the following to track it down. I have done a complete uninstall of BF1942 and reinstall w/ all applicable pathces. I have done a reinstall of windows XP ie upgrade to try and clean things up thinking this would help w/ all applicable updates. I have installed BF1942 on 2 other machines at home and BF works fine no problems. I have bought a new CDROM drive. So I am down to either MB drivers or registry entries corrupt. ANy help here would be great. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like c/b the issue with the SW IDE chipset drivers/controllers with nForce chipset boards. The typical solution is to rollback to the MS drivers.

Here's a forum for your specific mobo, might wanna go there and check around too. http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=48
