Audio / videos playing too fast

Hello,

I just put together a new PC, using a brand new CPU, motherboard etc. I installed Win2k on that PC.
I did all the updates, etc everything is configured properly. However I simply cannot get the audio or video to work.
All audio streams (ALL of them!) play too fast. Apparently same for video clips. That includes audio CDs, mp3, DVDs (audio and video), even online streaming audio (both through WMP and Quicktime).
When I say too fast, it's REALLY fast, as if the CPU was playing these streams as fast as it can, no flow control.
The real time clock works ok, it is stable... I must say I'm a bit lost here. Which component is broken?

Thanks.

I'd suggests the following; 1) Check the BIOS setting, under probably Advance Setup, for the AGP Mode (video setting). See that it matches you video card speed, 4x, 8x, etc; If it doesn't, adjust as needed. 2) Reload your Driver for both the Video and Sound Devices. Good luck and hope this helps :>.
