Well, as far as my usage/buildage goes it became EPoX only more than a year ago (since nForce2 came out), and it goes for AMD or Intel. Very solid boards, no issues at all. I mean: "set it and forget it". Keep it up.

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

I'm assuming you're the same 'EPoXTech' I've seen elsewhere (I think it was the Epox forum at nforcersHQ forums). If so, I once or twice found your advice quite useful there, so welcome aboard!

P.S. Any chance I could get my Rev 1.1 8RDA+ exchanged for a rev 2 version?
someone's vandalised mine and stuck a huge heatsink on the northbridge...
doesn't look too pretty anymore

Hi ChipDeath

Yes the one and the same. I now frequent many boards looking to offer assistance to EPoX users.

As far as 8RDA goes - since its been replaced by newer models we do not stock it anymore. The last ones are sold on epoxstore are rev 1.x

Well, welcome to THG forums!

I am a happy user of an Epox 8KHA+ (KT266A) board. Until now I don't have any problems, but I will make a couple of suggestions:

- I understand you can not say my mobo (and similar ones) support Barton CPUs, as they don't run at 333FSB ... but at least inform that Barton runs PERFECTLY at 266Mhz (I have running with no problem  )

- By the way, the secret formula to find 1/6 divider on my mobo ... it stops me from going further!

Keep up the good work!

Still looking for a good online retailer in Spain :frown:

Hi EPoxTech, glad to see you on the forum.I have a 8KRA2+ and I'm having some problems with it posting, all I get is 88's on the led on the board and the rest appeards DOA.I think it was my fault when I tried to install the "New" Power Color Video drivers (PCI)it would not post after that. Any suggestions or comments would be helpful.I did clear the CMOS and checked the Bat. no help. Also is there a place I could send the MOBO to have it checked out,its fairly new rev.1.0 It appears to be a good OC'er if I can get it going.Thank you,cris1145

I do not see installing drivers causing the system to have boot problems.

Here is a list of things to try (Skip the items you have completed already).

1) Check CMOS clear jumper JP1 (JBAT1 on some systems). Set for CLEAR for 5 seconds, then move back.
2) Check CPU host clock jumpers (if any) are properly set. Note: does not control memory bus.
3) Check your power supply. Should be 110/115v for North America.
4) Unplug all data cables for IDE and FDD from the motherboard.
5) Unplug all power supply cables attaching to your IDE and FDD drives.
6) Remove all cards and devices EXCEPT for video, RAM, CPU, CPU heatsink/FAN.
7) Move memory into a different bank, if available.
8) Unplug the CPU and reattach.
9) Ensure your CPU heatsink/FAN is attached properly to the CPU.
10) If you use a variable RPM fan ensure its set for full speed.
11) Retest.

12) If 1-11 do not help power off and test the motherboard outside the computer case to eliminate a case/motherboard power short.

13) Retest. If the board now works check for case problems. If the system still is not working continue...
14) You may have a possible hardware problem. Any device in the system may be a possible culprit. Use process of elimination to determine the cause. Swap out as many components as possible starting with RAM, CPU, POWER SUPPLY, VIDEO CARD (if present) and/or MOTHERBOARD.
