I have a HP Photosmart 1215 printer. Up until now I've been using it
with Win98. I just did a clean install and upgraded to Windows XP. Had
a challenging time getting the XP driver to work, but was able to
install the Windows 2000 driver without a problem.
Now I'm needing to install only the HP software that comes with the
printer. What directory/file from the installation CD can I run? When
the disc loads automatically it insists on installing the driver (the
system hangs) and the HP software can't be installed. I just want to
skip the driver part of the installation and get to the HP software. I
figure if I found the right file (or directory), I'd be all set for
what I need.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.
