I'm sure this question is asked daily, but the search function for the boards couldn't find it.

I am buying an ATI AIW card; I am also buying a new motherboard and CPU; I am thinking about these purchases in that order. My quesion, then, is "Is there a particular mobo/chipset that works especially well with an ATI card?"

Thanks for your time, folks.

That's good news, I guess .... I would have thought that the nForce chipsets, for instance, would be ideally suited to Nvidia products, but less so for the ATI cards ....

Thanks again.

Until now, any Chipset/mobo si good with either ATI/nVidia GPU. But, in recent nForce3 250Gb chipset previews some clains that nVidia GPU will get a performance boost with the chipset...

Or maybe nForce3 "detects" ATI cards and slow them down! For now, it's mostly speculations on non final products. We will have to wait and see if shipping nForce3 boards will actually favor GeForce instead of Radeon.
