Hey guys, seems like these forums (esp this part) is really getting weird now, but I've always gotten the best advice/ideas here, whereas Hard|OCP/SharkyExtreme, people kinda ignore my threads . So, this may not be the best place to post this question, but it's the most active, and this definitely doesn't fit in the CPU section.
So here's my question. I'm a n00b computer builder and I was thinking of getting some rounded IDE cables. The mobo I'm getting (BD7II-RAID) has 1 ATA66/100/133 cable, 1 ATA33 and 1 floppy cable. Now I'm thinking that these cables both have the ability to attach 2 devices if I'm not mistaking.
Now I wanted to get some rounded cables, but they are named as such:
24" Silver IDE Rounded Cable
Rounded ATA-133 Rounded Cable
I was wondering, I know the ATA133 cable is what I'd want to use with a HDD, but what do I use with an optical drive? Do I use the same thing?
Well, that's my question. I'd appreciate any help at all!!

Are they overkill cause the optical drive can't use the ATA133 fully? If so, would the normal IDE cable suffice? (well rounded of course) BTW, will rounded cables really help the airflow? I don't know if it's worth the money really.
Another thing, do all IDE cable have 2 connector, 1 for the master and 1 for the slave. I was wondering if the rounded ATA133 cable would have a master and a slave connector.
They would be an overkill because they can't take advantage of the 80 wire cable.
With round cables you can buy 2 or 3 connector. The only 2 connector 40 wire cable I have seen came
with my CD writer. The rounded cables should help with airflow. How much is debatable. Most just fold
their ribbon cables out of the way. If nothing else, the round cables look good. I would try to stay with
maximum length of 18" for good data transfer.
