Anyone have any idea when the AMD socket 939 motherboards will be available. It seems they have been "just around the corner" for a while now. I have read in some places that AMD may be delaying this chipset until near the end of the year.

I am getting a high end FX system in the first week of May and have to pull the trigger at that time since I am selling my current system to a friend to help offset the cost. I am pretty set on the FX since it has the high L2 cache and runs in dual channel memory board so I guess I will have to stick to a 940 offering if the 939 isn't available yet.

I really hope they aren't delayed, I will be building a new A64 computer soon and I just don't want to buy a socket that will be obsolete in a month. But I'm also waiting for PCI-EX, BTX, and SATA2, so I guess its ok...

That'll be enough L1 cache for me too...
