I just installed a ECS K7S5A Pro mainboard, hooked everything up, turned it on, and nothing happened. I've tried different ram, hard drives, video cards. I reseated the processor. The system turns on and the fans work, but no video and no beeps or anything. Please help!

try unplugging everything apart from 1 stick of RAM, the graphics Card, and the processor. (i.e. no drives etc).

If it still doesn't work, then remove the motherboard from the case, place on a non-conductive surface (e.g. the bag the mobo came in), and again try with just RAM, CPU & Gfx.

if it still doesn't work, then double check stuff like the clear CMOS jumper is in the right position, and that no other jumpers have fallen off or anything.

Failing all that, it's almost certainly dead.

its an enhance 360W power supply, but i don't think that's the problem. my previous mobo worked fine with it.

not the best board in my opinion. had one that was trouble the entire year and half i held on to it.

at any rate... i sort of recall the board having some jumper settings for cpu. and i think that it came with the wrong default settings or something. you might mess around with it and see if that is your problem.

it was a very popular board despite all its problems. should be lots of comments in the boards here. try the archives over the last couple years.
