Hi all,
Has anyone else purchased the NEC 950+ Black monitor and if so, what is your impression of it?
I just bought it on Monday and it is excellent in every way. The geometry is straight and true, the images well saturated and bright, and text is rendered crisply. Indeed, there is an excellent "smoothness" to the display that I assume is characteristic of the Diamontron tubes.
And it is Black 
I haven't used the black version, but I must say that the "regular" version is great!
I assume they are similar

Oh yeah, they are the same inside, it's just that black looks so cool with all my other black gear
These monitors are very new. Mine was only manufactured in January of this year. So I suppose there aren't too many in circulation yet. They are priced to move, though. I got mine for $640 Canadian, including the hated GST. That works out to about $415 US, which I think is pretty darned cheap, considering it is a Diamondtron tube with high quality electronics.
What, are you a Canadian, too?
