I posted this in Homebuilt before discovering this forum. I am looking to get a feel for what my system might be worth in the secondary market and would be interested in selling if the price was right. I built the computer in March of 2009 and it has been completely problem free since then. The only upgrades/changes were a replaced fan in the CM V8, and new RAM. Specs below:

CM 690 case
Asus P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard
i7 920 @ 3.8ghz (OC'ed since I built it with no stability issues)
Coolermaster V8 HSF
EVGA GTX 295 with optional backplate (stock clocks)
G.Skill Ripjaws 12gb (3x4gb) 1600 tweaked to 8/8/8/21
Corsair 750w PSU (non-modular)
WD caviar black 640gb HDD

I would appreciate any input/offers/thoughts on the value of this setup. Thank you.

Well...not sure if this will help ya...But im piecing together a 1st gen x58 as we speak here are the costs so far

EVGA x58 SLI Board - $60
i7 950 3.06Ghz - $50
CM690 (how funny) - $35
Agility3 120GB SSD - $80
500GB Seagate 3gbps 7200rpm - $25
3x2GB 6GB Corsair 1600Mhz - $20
GTX 285 - $40

= $310? Still loooking for a working used PSU of good quality and the build wll be done!

Im guessing total build cost for gas money aswell to be around $400.
However I am expecting to sell this unit for $700 swapping out the video card for a 660ti 2GB I bought for $200. Bringing total cost around $610. Aso gonna put 12GB ram in it just waiting to RMA it.

Also that setup can handle a better GPU/newer GPU... x58 isnt dead yet but I would imagine with Intels next Gen. CPU's x58 wont keep up anymore. If you wanna sell I would say sell ASAP as I see a value drop coming in the near futre. the 950 goes for $100+ all day on ebay...and most quality x58 motherboard goes for $130+ on ebay all day...

Thanks for the input. I'm thinking if I decide to keep it that I'll add a decent SSD and call it for another year or 2. I would want to start fresh I think since I'm not in love with the case or the cable management on the non-modular PSU. The 295 is still really strong at 1900x1200 (even after adding another 1900x1200 recently). It doesn't seem like there are many good values in terms of a GPU upgrade when compared to the 295 unless I had some pressing need for DX11.

Yeah I guess it depends on what you play/do. Im just spoiled playing BF3 Ultra on 2 monitors 1080p at 140fps lol...but really you only need a good solid 60
