why is it that bad is seen so easily? why the fuckk don't we gat a fuckkin life instead of puttin peoples name on a stupid list to show we don't like them.

this is the kind of attitude that starts wars and [-peep-]. <b>CHANGE PEOPLE</b>. if someone here posts about some thin good there is no way it'll last this long. and don't ever tell me "the list" is for fun. sick bastards have that kind of fun, makin others feel bad.

i like the sign in/out thread. its a good idea with good intentions. i think we need to stop being so cold to people. thats just messed up man. lets put away this childish attitude and welcome every one.

The list wasn't created to be fun. It was created to bring certain people to <b><font color=red>Fredi's</b></font color=red> attention. If someone is obnoxious and you feel that they should be banned you vote for them. If enough other people feel that way then you are put on the list. If you are on the list <b><font color=red>Fredi</b></font color=red> might look into it. If you haven't been that bad people can and do vouch for you to get you off the list. It's not that bad. It's like being put on probation or something. It just lets you know that you need to watch what you do. If you truly do something wrong <b><font color=red>Fredi</b></font color=red> bans you. If not you stay on their for eternity until someone vouches for you. It's not that big of a deal. I've been on it and I'm off of it now. Or at least I've been nominated for it.

when was the last time the list was used for banning people? and if someone does something that nasty to be bannrd, all u'd have to do is put in quotes what they said and show it to Mr Fredi. now really that list has been used for pleasure more than any thing. i don't even remember when the last time was that someone got banned for being on the list. if there is a member thats just being nasty it doesn't even take votes for them to be banned.

Labdog was the last one that was banned for being on The List.
It shoud be usefull to put quotes in The List (and some members did that)... but for some people that stand on The List their behaviore is so commen known by the forum members that we don't need any prove.

I was saying this over a year ago. The list is the school yard senerio. All the little kiddies want to always remind the other not soo popular kiddies that they dont like them. And taddle to the teacher everytime these little kiddies do something wrong. If you ask me its one big circle jerk for some of the folks here. Pretty said, I grew out of the taddle stage such a long time ago, what went wrong with you guys.

You actually think Fredi reads the List? When I PMed him about Labdog, it was obvious that Fredi didn't even know Labdog existed, or at least had never really read his posts.

If nothing else, new people can look at the list and use that as a starting point on the people that post here. It may help them sort out relevent posts.

Come on!
I bet 80% of the visitors here just head straight to the relevant thread, post their question and then they disappear.
I don´t think they look in the "Other" section first in hope of finding a "list" containing the users that have been "marked" by long time visitors of thgc.

And I´m pretty sure that the other 20% understands if they have been trolled or not without a list.
If they don´t there is always some resident visitor that points that out, it is very seldom that a post is only read by one person only.

the list does more harm than good. yes i did say good. why? its a joke to some such as amdeltown and I. we actually like it. but the point here is that its not so welcoming to some of our newer members and the list gets rid of them before we get to know them.

And thats a shame you like being derided by your fellow forum members, amdmeltdown is a dick and the list makes it clear to any new people that many people feel he is a dick, if you dont mind being on the list, then by all means continue doing the crap you did to get on it, it just makes you look like a dumbass.

Everyperson on the list is there for a reason, and they were put there by popular demand, some people (many of whom are on the list or have been banned in the past) call the list a circle jerk, I think people on the list should be the last ones to comment on the value of said list.

I dont think that "I like being on the list and it eggs me on" is a valid reason to stop using it, and only a troll/moron believes being on the list is a positive thing.

Do you know how many hours I have invested in this forum trying to make it better, I am serious about this forum, and the list is a valuable tool for new people to see who to ignore, it isnt done perfectly, and it has flaws but it is not invalid simply because it lists trouble makers and has no real use.

Your misunderstanding the list man, its not just disliked people, its not just trolls, spammers, flamers, anyone who disrupts the forum.

In your case, as you stated you dont disrupt the forum and people do not dislike you, but YOUR NOT ON THE LIST, you had 3 for and 1 against, and iirc it was during a period you were spamming the forum trying to get on the list, didnt you vote for yourself?

The point is that the list isnt there for fredi, its for new forum people its a place to lodge complaints about [-peep-] members who are violating common decency, and it is a place for people who disagree with those claims to show their support for said members.


It is not biased, it is not unfair and it is not a circle jerk, its a legitimate venting mechanism, and I for one am glad we have it.

Since I created it, I'll justify it. As a matter of fact I don't think you've read the instructions or purpose of the list before attacking it...

I made the list to make a point. WE NEED TO HAVE THE OPTION TO IGNORE PEOPLE. It's kind of developed over time as a sign that we need moderators though.

It's not really there to have people banned. There are few people that I've wanted banned, but most I've just wanted the option to ignore. That being the option to either make their posts invisible or just the same color as the background. From what I understand this is a fairly simple option to implement.

You're taking this way too seriously. Many many people have been on the list and then been removed. It is a democracy and unless you're a persistant thorn in the forum's side you'll never be on the list forever. You'll just cycle through. Not a big deal unless you're a social retard or just can't fit in like some members that shall remain nameless. You're not one of them.

There are certain members who don't contribute anything and it would be nice to be able to ignore them. Kennyshin is a perfect example of someone who should have been banned, but other members like amdmeltdown are a perfect example of a member who absolutely shouldn't be banned but should be ignored when we want to. I've seen it work wonders on other forums where trollers and idiots just stop after realizing that nobody can see what they're doing anyways.

That ignoring part brought me to an idea:
On a Dutch site where you can repsong to articles they got a system to rate post... this can be done by every member and makes it a little messy.
But if there was an option for some 'moderators' to rate posts as 'uninportand trolling crap' they can give it a - point. If a normal user has set in his options that he doesn't want to see the - point posts they are hidden for them unless he clicks an button on the top of the page (where the other buttons of this forum are)... doesn't that sound good?
