Hi,

Does anyone have experience with the Siemens SS2502 powerline adapter? I
have a WRT54GS right now and use it with one of my desktops and my laptop,
works really well all over the house, no complaints at all. My server is
wired into the router right now but I need to move it into the family room.
I don't want to run the cable all the way there, or run an ethernet cable
either. It would be too messy and a lot of work.

I thought about using a powerline adapter since the connection would be
"wired" as opposed to wireless. I don't want to connect my server
wirelessly. If I leave the router where it is, connect a 2502 at the router
and then one in the family room to the server I should be all set. Of
course this is all theoretical since I've never used the 2502 or any other
powerline product.
From what I know of the Siemens 2502, the only restriction is a 14Mbps line
or slightly less.

I can't seem to find this product anywhere. I saw it on Ebay and was going
to buy it for $22 but forgot about the auction and lost out on that deal. I
saw it online at a couple of stores for about $60, not really sure what a
decent price is either.

Thanks,

Kevin
