Is it possible to start an application with High thread priority?
I have a PC set up as a DVR (Digital Video Recorder - like Tivo). I also run some security camera software on the same PC.
The two apps are <A HREF="http://sage.tv" target="_new">SageTV</A> and <A HREF="http://supervisioncam.com" target="_new">SupervisionCam</A>.
They play nice together, except when I am reviewing captured pics from SupervisionCam. CPU usage hits 100% when I am doing this, and it causes some lost frames in the mpeg file that SageTV is currently recording.
I figured out that if I set SageTV's thread priority (in Task Manager) to High, the problem goes away.
I would like to have SageTV start with High thread priority on it's own. Is this possible?
If somebody runs across this thread, the solution to my problem is <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/community/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=117240#117240" target="_new">here</A>
