1. Go into BIOS and set VDIMM at 2.7v or higher
2. Disable SPID and set your timings at 3-4-4-8
3. Set performance mode to Turbo
4. NO D.O.T. (If you have it)
5. Set DRAM frequency to AUTO
6. Set Frontside bus frequency to 205mhz. Save and exit. Does it post? Go back and raise FSB a mhz at a time till it won't boot. Reset BIOS and drop your FSB back to where it posts. Now you can work on your timings or raise your CPU Vcore and VDIMM again and try for higher. The object is to get the best overclock with the lowest timings and the lowest Vcore, VDIMM, and temps. With only PC3200 to work with you may have to take your VDIMM up to 2.9v. My OCZ Performance locked up at 2.8V. Your best bet for starters is to go to the MSI Forum and talk to all the other people who have your board. Have fun!

ok, so I have yet to try any of this (been busy) but - I need to buy some RAM for another machine that only requires PC2100, so my question is -

would it be easier to overclock this NEO2-P with something better than PC3200? if so what?

Also - could I then put this PC3200 in the older machine that only requires PC2100 with out any problems?

Absolutely! The 865 chipsets are a lot less picky on ram. PC3700 or better will get you wherever you want to go.

Abit IS7 - 2.8C @ 3.4 - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!
