Humans managed to live through an ice age....why not? While plenty of people probably would die, its not unreasonable to assume humanity as a whole would survive. As far as radiation is concerned I wouldnt be surprised if out of 6 billion people, there is a chunk of that that may be naturally resistant to the effects of radiation. That's how natural selection works.
