I recently purchased an Alienware m11x R2 broken with dell replacement power brick. The motherboard recieves power, the battery charges, but the unit will not power on. I have read into it and have found out that this unit has the infamous power button failure so I tore down the unit and found that the ribbon cable leading from the secondary power board (which the power button is connected to) to the motherboard to be broken(the contact pins where torn and bent) and I believe that the issue can be fixed by replacing the ribbon connector and power button. (around a $10-$15) If anyone has spare parts laying around for an m11x , or wants one to fix this would be a great deal.
