Hey, I am looking for a new motherboard right now because my current one is not adequete for my needs. I have one major restriction though... the board has to be microatx. i dont feel like paying for a new case because i am saving up for new stuff [like pci-e and all that good stuff... when ever it comes out] and i want to get a better motherboard so i can play hl2 and doom3 when they come out.

I have an AMD Athalon XP 2600+ [tbred]
idk what else you need but just tell me...

id like a board with three ram slots and that can at least support ddr400. i dont need a very good igp because i have a radeon 9600 pro and sound isnt a problem either because i have an audigy ls. I dont really like MSI because thats the type of board i have now and its not really what i want... maybe its just the board type [ms-6390]if you have any suggestions i would love to hear them, thanks a lot

One I know of that meets your requirments is the <A HREF="http://www.chaintech.com.tw/tw/eng/product_spec.asp?MPSNo=13&PISNo=14" target="_new">Chaintech 7NIL1</A>, it's only $58 over at <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=13-152-024&depa=1" target="_new">Newegg</A>. The only micro-ATX nForce2 ultra MB I know of.

Can't really blame MSI for your crappy board, all makers have them, using crappy chipsets and stripped down to provide a poor quality feature set. They make them for cheapskates. Did you know most HP computers have boards made by Asus? hehehe.
