Simple ?'s About A7N8X-E Deluxe

1st: I just put together a new box with this board and had a few ?'s. My case has front mic and speaker jacks with the cables that hook to the MB. Can you have both the front and back speaker and mic jacks work at the same time? Seems like in my old A7N8X board you could only have one or the other.
2nd: When I boot the box up it sees the HD and CD in POST and when it gets to the screen where it says " Hit Delete to Enter Setup or Alt F2 for bios flash" it sits their for a long long time. The HD is is not Fdisk yet but I'm booting to the XP disk for the intall. My old A7N8X went by so fast it was hard to hit the "Delete" key but this sits there for like 2 or 3 minutes, is this normal?
3rd: I bought some high end memory so I could turn the timming down (5-2-2-2)Thats where my memory runs on my older A7N8X But when I put this timming in on my new A7N8X-E Deluxe it hangs on bootup and I have to do a hard reset to get it to boot back up and it does not keep the memmory timmings. Thx for any help you can give me.

Not sure about the first, but the second seems like the board is scanning for a SATA drive, the board will wait for 1 minute and then continue to load. You can fix this by disabling SATA with a jumper on the motherboard. Then it will not scan and bypass that on start-up. The third seems like a BIOS update might fix that. I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe, and I just fooled around with the settings to get it to work. After it was configured, its been rock solid since.

Ya, have the SATA disabled already. will look for a newer bios update.
