Is there a compadibility issue with these two?
ECS K7VTA3 issue with ATI Radeon 9600se

I cant play Half Life or Battlefield Earth. Keep getings VTU Recover errors and have to hard reboot within seconds of getting into a game.

Have AMD 2500 Barton with 512megs PC2700 ram

Have you tried the latest ati catylist driver, version 4.3? If you change drivers, be sure to uninstall the old driver and reboot before trying the new driver.
