Connecting ps2 to pc monitor. will this work?

i am trying to connect ps2 to a pc monitor. tell me if this will work.

since ps2 has RCA output. i connect one of them with the video. and the 2 other with audio?

what you mean sound problem? can i not connect the monitor with a speaker?
