Windows 7 Boot ?

Hello,

ive just re installed Windows 7 on my PC but somthing wrong with my installation got 2 new hardrives that ive put in raid (striped) and using the old (striped) hardrives as a recovery Disc.

C:\ = Windows Primary 2x500GB Nvidia Striped Drives

D:\ = Recovery 2 x 75GB Nvidia Striped Drives.

Problem 1.
when i boot my computer i can choose from 2 diffrent version of Windows 7.

Problem 2.
If i Unplugg the "Recovery Disc" (D:\) i do not find any Operative system.

And yes Windows was installed on the two 75GB before i stared installation on the two 500GB. anyone know how i can make the C:\ Primary and bootable and then delte the boot files on D:\ ? Many thanks from a Norwegian named John

  2. By "recovery" disks you mean for Backups? You probably need to edit your boot.ini file so it boots off the setup on the new drives. Or install Windows 7 with only the large drives in the system, then plug in the other drives.

    And as an FYI, using a RAID 0 stripped array for backups/recovery is a really bad idea.
