Does Doom 3 work on Windows 7?

Hello.

I recently upgraded my OS to Windows 7. My previous OS was Windows XP. Doom 3 ran fine while I was using WinXP. When I installed it on Windows 7, it doesn't run at all. I set the "compatibility" to Windows XP and set it to "Run as Administrator" and still it doesn't work.

Does Doom 3 work on Windows 7 or not? If it does work, do I need to install a patch or some other file to make it run under Windows 7?

Runs great under Windows 7 64 as well. I got my copy via Steam, so I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Try re-installing. Doom3 runs fine though.

It works perfect.. I did not install any patch.
What version of Windows 7 do you use?

I use Windows 7 Ultimate. My PC's specs are as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ 2.01 GHz
1 GB of memory
32bit operating system
256MB ATI Radeon 9600/9550/X1050 Series

Sad to say that Doom 3 still doesn't wok. Re-installed it 2 or 3 times already and it still doesn't work. I must be doing something wrong.

I'd highly appreciate a little help here.

Exactly how are installing it? Do you have the original cd release or did you purchase an electronic version? Have you gone and applied all patches? With Steam, which is where I purchased my copy, it's already patched to the latest release.

What exactly is happening when you try to run it?
