HDD: WD Raptor 150gb 10000rpm SATA
Optical: Samsung 20x DVD±RW SATA
PSU: OCZ GameXStream 600W

I wouldn't pay more than 500 for that system.

He was being generous with $500 I would say realisitically you could get $300-400. The only thing that would possbly retain value is the sound card and HD, the CPU RAM and Vid card are only worth $50-100 each at most.
