Hi,

I have a Pavilion CTO 701 with the HP Samba nForce1 MoBo. I've had a quirk
since day one and thought I'd run it by y'all and see if there was anything
that could be done.

Regardless of what drivers I use.... when the computer boots into Windows,
the volume is askew. It shows the proper setting in the slide control but
the volume is very loud. Moving the control even slightly "resets" the
volume to play at what the slide control is showing. I've gotten into the
habit of turning off my speakers and adjusting the volume every time I
reboot.

Any ideas?

Dave
