Problems with XP and ASUS CUV4X

I have an older system with an ASUS CUV4X motherboard and a PIII 800MHz processor. When I try a clean install of XP, I get a bluescreen as XP is trying to install device drivers (after the install goes into graphical mode). The bluescreen tells me to turn off shadowing (which I've done) and possible replace my video card. Are there known problems with this motherboard and XP?

none that i know of. had cuv4x-e with a p3 866mhz, very stable. maybe check the ram or graphics card?
