ok.i just bought a system with a gtx 275 card but i m getting unussualy low fps in the game when the physx is on high.during the scarecrow level and when i enter some buldings in some part the fps declines to nearly 30.is this result unusual or is there some problem in my hardware as i can run crysis on max easily without this much stuttering.

Full system specs? Also remember that PhysX will most likely impact your frame rates. Why not turn it down a bit?

Check that your drivers are up to date. You can also try turning PhysX off completely.

And no, it is not a fact that games run better in XP. It depends on a great many factors. Some games work better in 7 than in XP while others don't work at all. Benchmarks suggest that XP may be a little faster, but not enough to be noticed in most cases.

when physx is turned off i get aroung 150fps but arkham asylum becomes boring without physx bcoz of lack of the special effects which physx provides.but it takes away nearly 100fps from my card lol.

@goku:

That's why physx is not going to last, especially when it's tied to one particular piece of hardware.
