If I liked diablo 1,2 and Heroes of might and Magic 3. What modern game will I most likely like.

I love games where you can play for endless hours continuly building up your character making him/her strong as heck after a billion hours of play. I like exploring, but fast moving (somewhere in the middle of diablo 2 and hmm3). Multiplayer games are awesome and I like collecting items to equipt my character. Diablo 2 is cool, but i highly dought that patch 1.10 is going to make me want to play it again.

Any suggestions

Polypheme
Baldurs Gate might be the only other thing to add although I'd stick to NWN and Dungeon Seige first.

I have both NWN and Dungeon Siege and I like NWN better. Any game where you can drink until you pass out and get laid in a brothel... though I must admit I enjoyed DS as well. Also, if you like sci-fi, Freelancer is a great game that's been eating up lots of hours.

Morrowind is one of the best single player RPG out today.

It has a great character developer with all kind of options as where to increase your characters stats.,weapons skills, armor skills and magic, as you level up.

Theres more than enough bootie to collect and figure out what to do with. Fighting is top notch. The main quest will involve countless hours. The open-ended side quest could take you into the 100 hours+. I havent used the Construction Set disk, but it has one. The game plays well with little or no ploblems. My PIII450 is the only problem with this game....:)

Morrowind is a "must have" for any RPGer.

No Cats or Geese where actually harmed in the making of Might & Majic IX

Don't forget to add the Tribunal, and Bloodmoon expansion packs for Morrowind for another multiple 100+hrs of play; plus increases challenge level by including harder opponents.
Plus some of the best graphics out there, especially with TruForm enabled.

- You need a licence to buy a gun, but they'll sell anyone a stamp (or internet account) ! RED GREEN  GA to SK

Another vote for nwn. the original campaign (OC) was good, but the best part is are the modules created by other players that are free to download. (dungeon seige also has player created modules) i played a few of the nwn modules before i started the OC, and liked several of them better.

if you have a broadband connection, or are very patient, you can download demo versions to try before you buy. the nwn demo is pretty slow gameplay, but once you get past the tutorials, it gives you a decent idea what the game is like.

nwn (~300 mb) http://nwn.bioware.com/downloads/demo.html
