I lost my hibernate option on my 2+ year old HP and after many
rounds with HP e-mail and phone support the conclusion is it
is a windows problem, which could be fixed by the non-
destructive recovery option HP provides - a resintall of the
originally delivered windows op sys. HP says, however, I should
live with the problem.

Has anyone ever done a non-destructive recovery and how badly
did it affect installed programs?

TIA
Jim
