k8v boot up failure

i recently tried flashing my k8v deluxe to the newest bios version but it got to the stage were it read the rom and then failed to erase. the computer didnt do anything or didnt seem to be so i reseted it hoping to get default bios but now my computer starts up, everything is running in it, but the bios boot fails to show up. any help please?

So you just get a black screen, no beeps, nothing?

Sounds like you might have killed the BIOS. the only thing I could suggest is to contact Asus tech support and try to get a new BIOS chip from them. Or if you know anyone else with the same mobo, you could try a 'hot flash' of your chip, but that's a little risky.

You did move the Reset jumper back to the 'normal' position after setting it to clear didn't you?
