cant get past chapter 3 "Heat" a man throws me off the roof as soon as i walk through a doorway. HOW DO I GET PAST HIM?

It's quite simple...
If you notice the bar he's holding while he runs up to you turns red, you have to press triangle when it does. Faith grabs the bar and opens a can of whoopass all over rope burn or what's his face.
