Was SE considered a service pack for Windows 98?
Have you seen Alper Coskun's UNOFFICIAL Windows98 Second Edition Service Pack (latest is 1.6.2, September '04)?
Alper did a nice job collecting most of the MS hotfixes, live updates, etc, into a single installer. He also included some niceties like Visual Basic and C++ runtime libraries, current ASPI drivers, and the >512 MB of memory workaround.
I had saved a few of the old Windows 98SE updates but when Microsoft moved to the live update process it became difficult. I, for one, am glad Alper put together this package.
My one complaint about the UNOFFICIAL Windows98 Second Edition Service Pack is I wish he had selective install/uninstall, just in case some of the updates aren't needed/wanted. I could also do without the Windows ME icons, but that's a minor complaint.
