hi
can we put a ddr500(pc-4000) on a MSI K8N Neo Platinum even if it says: Supports single memory channels, DDR 400/333/266 without ECC support.

if yes is it gonna be faster or i will lost speed from my ram

"For those of you who are confused, yes, Dual Channel memory will work, but only in Single Channel Mode." what does it means?
thanks

This is a very old question and the answer is always yes. PC4000 is just a faster rated version of PC3200. Any board that can support PC3200 can support PC4000. Read the reviews at Anandtech and Tom's, Anandtech actually did an article on bus speed versus performance using that board and fast RAM.
