I have just built up a system with a NF24-ALH board but it does not boot. It appears to power up the drives and the system then gives a series of single beeps at 3 sec. Intervals.

There are two LEDS on the board, one comes on when power is applied to the board and the other when I attempt to boot up.

There is no video output.

The system has a XP3000+ processor with 256MB of RAM (PC32000) in DIMMA1. For Test purposes I have a 16MB Voodoo graphic board.

Any help would be appreciated.

That old Voodoo card is a 3 volt card I believe. I'm not sure that will work with that system which may need a newer 1.5 volt video card. Do you have a newer video card you can try?

Yup, prolly the vid card. Had same prob with a new shuttle mobo last week. Replaced the 3.3 volt vid card for a newer I.5 volt card and all is well.

Otherwise find out what the beep codes are trying to tell you.

Good Luck

The 'Beep Message' was a memory error, I moved the memory to another slot and the bios continued fine in that it correctly identified the connected drives. It now comes up with a boot error and asks for a bootdisk to be inserted, The HDD I am using is that from my old system and should be ok ?

Re-video board it may be that I haven't got far enough through my boo-up to show a non-compatability there .....
