I just bought an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe with a AMD Athlon XP 3200+ and a set of Corsair TWINX 1024 PC3200. My question is about the dual channel feature of this board. When i turn on the computer it says DDR @ 200mhz Dual Channel. I wanto to know if 200Mhz is ok or if it should say 400. Then in the other hand, has someone had problems updating the BIOS from 1008 to 1011, cuz i did that last night and for some reasson my computer started to reboot on me. So i had to go back to 1008 and the problem is fixed.

Then my other concern is why Windows 2000 takes a while to load, because on my P4 1.8 512 ram (pc 800) loads way faster than this machine. Any way thanks for the help

200Mhz is normal. That's DDR400 speed (Hence Double Data Rate).

As for the slow loading, that's probably down to the amount of junk being loaded at startup.

When you say load, are you talking about the BIOS loading or Windows. If you are not using SATA, you can disable the jumper on the motherboard, and the system will not scan for it. I know the older BIOS used to hold looking for a SATA device. You might want to try this program from Microsoft. http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/12/2/12-2-1.shtml
