NWN2 missing exploration mode in options

So I install NWN2 into my new build and it works great. The next day I go to the options menu and I am missing the exploration mode tab as well as not being able to adjust settings in this tab. The window is there, just not the text or options. It was there the previous day because I used the new expl. mode and loved the smooth camera rotation. The tools also remain on the game area but do not work when I try switching them. I attempted updating many times but several of the patches do not load no matter what.

I'd suggest backing up your savegames, reinstalling and then patching.
