Recently, I tried to upgrade a HP 3100. Installed the software, then
blasted the printer with the firmware. As a side note, we have a HP
4v/mv and a 5si attached to the network. The 3100 was connected via ltp1.
After trying to upgrade the 3100, the 4v/mv seemes to keep printing
pages for no reason. On some of the pages this is printed out.
Bus Error
Address Error
Illegal instruction
Divide by zero
Error
No error trapped, sp already set to kpstop:
Stack pointer () out of bounds) in kp) in mpl) in pp) in sp) in tp
Stack: kpsp = mpsp = ppsp = spsp =
tpsp=(kpsp)=(mpsp)=(ppsp)=(spsp)=(tpsp)=HQ1
As best I can tell, the firmware got sent to the 4v/mv and thats what
keeps printing out.
I've tried to reset the printer, and reset the Jetdirect card. Nothing
worked.
If I turn the printer online, it just keeps printing .
