I just built a new system with this mobo, and the following components:

AMD64 3400+
512 kingston ddr400
9800pro
80gb western digital hdd
480watt thermaltake psu
MSI cdrw

when the system boots up, there are infinate long beeps. I have tried swapping the graphics card. I assume that the cpu is properly installed as it went in really easy, and all seemed to fit using the default heatsink. all of the power/led chassis stuff is in correctly, the cmos has been reset. CPU and mobo fans are plugged in and working. The hdd is set to master and plugged into IDE1. Everything seems to be done, what could we be missing/what could be wrong?

Yes, it beeps infinately (long beeps)
I've looked it up, no websites show beeps past 11 times.
I've also searched for Abit beep codes - no success.

Ive been reading up about this board and a lot of people seem to be having trouble with the mobo bending, and the ram not making contact. the error shows up 0.4 on the led display.I'm gonna try altering the heatsink so that the board does bow, even though it doesnt look bent at all.

helpful links on those beep codes. Anyone got a clue what one long "angry" beep means?

Does your board have a POST CODE display? It's 2 bright green LED displays on the board that displays numbers. In your ABIT motherboard manual, they describe each POST code.
I have the KV8 Pro, so I'm hoping your one will have a display. What I have found is that you can set a warning beep to sound when the CPU temp reaches certain levels. Maybe the default settings are a bit low?

what the?!
