Hi all,

I have an IRQ conflict between my SCSI card and my sound card. Both are being assigned the IRQ number 11. Is there a way to force one to change. I'm not sure why Windows 98 isn't handling the problem.

Here's my setup:

Windows 98 second edition
Abit kx-7/900 mhz Athelon
Tekram 390 SCSI controller
Creative Sound Blaster PCI512

Thanks for help,

Seth

Messing with IRQ's usually triggers my Touretts syndrome.
You've probably got irq sharing turned on in your bios. I can think of no situation where windows has actually made good calls with irq's.
If you can't 'modify' the irq under device manager, you'll have to swap pci slots around to change the irq. I'd disable the 'plug and play' os selection in your bios, no matter what you decide to do.
