I dont really understand what you mean here? Could you expad a bit on it? Did the protective cover of the USB cable get torn? Cause if so you coulda grounded your motherboard, this could have damaged your power supply.
Have you tried using a different power supply?

If you were plugging it into the USB on the rear of the computer, is it possible you switched off the Power Supply unknowingly?

Have you plugged anything else into that particular USB port at any time? It could be a faulty USB port/motherboard.

does your PowerSupply pr any other component (cpu/mobo/vid card)has that sweet burned electronic smell?

And do you mean touched a wire nearby? If soo maybe it made a short circuit and killed your PSU or even fried your mobo.

Seriously try to smell your PSU and do a visual inspection...

yes, the "top" of USB cable touched a hole nearby and I heard a very small sound then my computer was turned off. I think that my motherboard is gone.Is that possible to fix...
Thanks

heya johnhelen;

Write me back and tell me what you have tried to do to fix the problem, have you unplugged the power cable so that the PSU will reset, im wondering if the PSU just went into protect mode, and you havent reset it, what have you tried if anything?
