I am looking at building a computer with an ASUS board from Newegg. The board is http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProd [...] 481&depa=0

My question is: I want to use 3 harddrives, 1 WD Raptor and 2 WD Caviar 250GB drives, all using SATA (possibly doing these 2 with RAID.) It says that it has this -
Onboard SATA/RAID: VIA VT8237, 2x SATA, RAID 0/1; Promise R20378, 2x SATA, RAID 0/1/0+1
Does this mean that it has 4 SATA and 2 RAID controllers?
Will this work well?
Also, anyone know how well this board works?

This is my first time building a computer and I'm a bit cnfused.
Thanks

You can connect up to 6 IDE devices, and/or 4 SATA devices on that motherboard.
