On impulse, I ordered this thing... is a crystal orb overkill... I could put my extra crystal orb on the north and use this Zalman on the south...

OK just got it... it looks great for the south bridge, but is it hardy enough for the north bridge? I still wonder if a crystal orb is overkill?

Over 200 fsb it aint overkill. It doesn't take much at those speeds to screw data.

Crystal Orb with AS5 on the north bridge it is... I will use the thurmal pad that came with the crystal orb to connect the Zalman to the south bridge. Do those pads hold up?

BTW, for any who care, a crystal orb will not fit on the north bridge of an NF7-S... the holes are a bit to close together... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I ended up just putting some AS5 on the stock ABIT heatsink/fan...

As well, the Zalman does not cover the entire north bridge... I might have to stick it to the south bridge with the sticky pad that came with the crystal orb...
