Treo 600 vs. Blackberry 7750

Forum Network Providers : Verizon Treo 600 vs. Blackberry 7750

I am considering a Treo 600 vs. a Blackberry 7750 for the purpose of
retrieving email when on the road.

Any thoughts on which is better?

I know the Blackberry has a "push" model where email arrives automatically.
I have heard there is third-party software to do this also on the Treo
600 -- does such software work on the Verizon phone or is it disabled?

Also it seems from the Verizon website that the Blackberry data plan
includes unlimited email whereas the Treo 600 plan seems to have
metered/billable email minute -- is that correct?

Treo 600 with Verizon has Wireless Sync which will give you what you want.

The reason you DON'T want to buy a Blackberry is that the design locks you
into non-standard RIM/Blackberry apps.

The reason you DO want to buy a Treo 600 is that the design is open and
provides you the PALM OS and apps for the Palm. This is a huge win.

The Treo 600 is by far the best overall architectural design and implementation
on the market.

When you get one, be sure to beam your contacts over from any old Palm.
For everything else you can use Hot Sync. Most applications will sync over
via USB and be runnable as well.

I appreciate the reply and info.

The Verizon Wireless website seemed to imply that the data plan on the Treo
600 was not unlimited but instead used minutes.... is that so, and if so how
can it have an automatic "push" option for email without incurring costs
beyond my control?

Does Wireless Sync work at Express Network speeds or slower?

If I activate Express Network for web browsing, does Wireless Sync still
work? At what speed?
