Application Error

my system has beeen running really slow, and every now and then i get an IExplorer.exe or Explorer.exe application error saying "the instruction at "someAddress" refereced at "someOtherAddress". The memory could not be 'read'"
what does that mean? whats goin on?
this usually happends when i am surfing! and then the web pages close and my icons disappear! why does it do that?

Bad memory maybe? That's all I can think of.

yes, but...are you a gamer? does it happen at all when your playin'? cause if your not a gamer, and it only happens when surfing the net-which is the most graphically challenging thing you could be doing, maybe it's your video ram.
but who knows
