Hello, my specs are.

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100216-1514)
System Manufacturer: MSI
System Model: MS-7369
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 3328MB RAM
Card name: ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

And all my games work for around 10 seconds (even the oldest ones) and then they start to stutter. They run fine, then 1-3 second "slowdown" and then it runs well for 1-2 seconds, then slowdown, then fine, then slowdown. You get the picture.

Any ideas? The problem was solved for a few days after my computer had been running for 2 days straight. Starting to get on my nerves.

All I can suggest is to make sure you have the latest GPU drivers installed. Catalyst 10.4 is the most recent.
Also wherever possible try enabling the vsync option in any games.

Plus run some diagnostics, I mentioned this in a reply to another poster the other day, make sure your system is clean from spyware, virus's, defrag your hdd, update drivers, etc etc. Also check the temps of cpu and gfx card.
