Hi
I have an Abit AN7 board (guru) and I want to buy a mobile Barton 2600+ processor because I heard they are really good overclockers. Did anyone ever install a processor like that on this board, or does anyone know whether this board support the mobile Barton processors?

Thank you.

Your board will work fine with a mobile barton. Don't know if it will detect the cpu correctly. Most boards will read a mobile as "unknown cpu" but it will still run correctly with manual adjustments.

May well be the best board for that chip. Just remember that it will tend to undervolt, so add a little extra to v-core, and v-dimm. With that fan, you should get past 2.4 (30% OC) no problem. Let us know how it goes.

Thank you. I'm trying to buy one on ebay, so it might take some time. By the way, why should I change the v-dimm in addition to the v-core?
