How long a mobo running at 40-45C can last when running 8-16 hour/day?

3 years, 10 months, 3 weeks, 4 days, 9 hours, and twenty six minutes. That's give or take a minute!

My Epox 8kha+ lasted around 2 years running 24/7 (well, pretty much 24/7 anyway)

It sucks that electronics does'nt seem to have the same quality as it used to have.
Just look at old hifi systems, older motherboards and other electronics...still working.

The way I figure it, he calculated it as such:

3 Years, 10 months, 3 weeks, 4 days, 9 hours and 26 Mins = 1425.4 days (approx)

This is calculated by taking your 3DMark2001SE score (6100) and dividing it by 4 = 1525. He then took your 3DMark2003 score, divided it by 10 (1060/10=106) and subtracted that from 1525 = 1419.4 days.

He seems a bit off, but that could depend on what months they are (some are longer, you know) and if it was a leap yer.

Hope this clarifies things.

Cheers !!

Hopefully it will last 5 years, I've got a 20 year old case, still running strong.

In five years everything you have now will be obsolete. A clocker takes that into consideration!

Good boards will last 10 years. That means good boards last 2x as long as their worth using. With all the crap on the market the past few years, I can't tell you how long any specific board might last, because they often come from the factory with trash components.

In that case, I have no idea how he figured it out.

Probably a SWAG (Stupid Wild Ass Guess).

I have mobos that are 5+ years old in perfect running condition, so 5 or more years is a good guess.
