Borderlands keeps crashing, any help?

I recently finished a new system build. It's running Windows 7 home premium, ans has Catalyst drivers version 10.2 (I had 10.3, but after getting several system crashes, I decided to go back to the previous version in hopes that it was more stable.) I have been playing Borderlands for a while, and every so often my computer just crashes. Either the screen will just freeze (happened once) or it will crash to the blue screen of death (happened 3 or 4 times). I have scanned my computer repeatedly for viruses, and it's a legitimate copy of Borderlands. I don't really know what else to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A bad stick of ram could possibly cause this no? Maybe run memtest?
