Hi All, I have a few questions for those that have built a p4. I bought an OEM Intel P875PBZ, Retail 3.2 Prescott, 1 GB PC3200 Dual channel (DDR400), 1 36 gig raptor, 1 wd 200 gig hd (Both SATA), 1 cd rom, and 9800 radeom pro. I upgraded the power supply to 450 watts and still cannot get the system to boot up. One thing that is weird is that when I have the CD rom pluged into the iDE it does not power up. Second, How does this SATA system work?? How do I test to see if the MB is bad?? ANy help??

Thanks, Shotgnz

Nice system. Now, when you say it doesn't boot up, I take it does turn on, just fails to actually boot? The SATA must be setup in the BIOS, and then you will have to load drivers when installing windows.

Assuming you don't have th CD-rom plugged in, does the BIOS detect everything properly?

Actually, I cant get anything to start other than the fan on the power, cpu and graphics card. I have a evercase box and I cannot turn the system on unless I flip the switch on the back. I am thinking of starting from square one and remove everything from the box and reassemble it. Do you think I should try booting up with no memory in the slots?? Any suggestions on what process I should install everything??

Thanks, Shotgnz
